Emily Young

Senior Associate

Emily Young, RN, provides due diligence support to clients in the healthcare investment space.

She applies her clinical and policy background to assess regulatory and reimbursement considerations in buy-side and sell-side diligence work impacting investment opportunities across the healthcare spectrum, including value-based care, quality improvement, home care, and telehealth.

Before joining Avalere, Emily worked as a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Toronto General Hospital, where she supported daily clinical operations to optimize patient outcomes. Emily also interned at the United Nations, where she supported the Secretary-General's efforts on pandemic preparedness and universal health coverage by monitoring global trends, providing policy analysis, and preparing analytical reports.

Emily holds an MPH in health policy and management from Columbia University and a BScN from Queen’s University.
