Peyton Bernstein

Senior Associate

Peyton Bernstein delivers evidence-based research and strategic analysis to support clients operating across healthcare policy and industry sectors.

In prior projects, Peyton has crafted client deliverables on topics such as the use of cost-effectiveness thresholds in global markets and strategies for identification of rare disease patients in large datasets. He has also tracked current events in value assessment to synthesize developments and communicate impacts to clients.

Before joining Avalere Health, Peyton held internships with the Department of Health Behavior and Policy at Virginia Commonwealth University and at the American Society of Anesthesiologists. He gained experience with survey methodology tailored to Virginia Medicaid and conducted research into the prevalence of substance use disorders among formerly incarcerated adults. Peyton also gained exposure to federal affairs between clinicians and political organizations in the context of the legislative process.

Peyton holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in public policy from William & Mary, where he also graduated with a minor in data science.
