Half of States Will Not Expand Medicaid in 2014

Pennsylvania is leaning toward expanding following an endorsement from the governor to pursue a private option, similar to Arkansas’ premium assistance model. The other 25 states do not plan to expand coverage in 2014. There is no deadline for states to opt-in to Medicaid expansion.
