Daria Salyakina supports clients in designing and conducting health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) and evaluating real world evidence (RWE) across a range of therapeutic areas.
In supporting clients, Daria applies her expertise in precision medicine, patient-centric value assessment, and epidemiological methods. Before joining Avalere Health, Daria served as a research scientist at Flatiron Health, where she generated RWE for pharmaco-epidemiologic cancer research and addressed national and international clients’ RWE and regulatory needs. Previously, she served as a senior HEOR consultant for Risk Strategies, where she developed a statistical methodology for return-on-investment analysis for commercial digital healthcare technologies, and used claims data to evaluate the effect of drug adherence, healthcare utilization, and co-morbidities on healthcare costs across several therapeutic areas. Daria has also led the Precision Medicine and Health Outcomes Research department at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and played a significant role in advancing CMS coverage for precision medicine diagnostic testing in Florida.
Daria holds a PhD in genetic epidemiology from the Technical University Munich, Germany, an MS in biology with a concentration in genetics from Tomsk State University in Russia, and a graduate certificate in business administration from the University of Miami.
