Value-Based Pricing and Payment Expert Joins Avalere

Avalere Health welcomes Mike Ciarametaro as a principal to its Policy practice. His expertise will help clients to understand the changing value-based healthcare environment and translate that understanding into business and advocacy strategies.

About Mike Ciarametaro

Mike Ciarametaro joins Avalere as a principal in Health Policy. He brings extensive experience in health technology assessment, value-based pricing, government drug price regulation, and payment reform.  Before joining Avalere, Ciarametaro served as vice president of research at the National Pharmaceutical Council, where he developed and managed a strategic research portfolio focused on the value of innovation as well as tradeoffs between payment reform and innovation, and drug market access challenges and solutions. Before that, he held positions at WellPoint NextRx and Evidera, where he led financial analysis supporting the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee and developed price and market access strategies for drugs and devices.

Ciarametaro earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Virginia and an MBA from George Mason University.
